I've got some Kemtex dyes!

I am gradually pulling together the items I need in order to be able to print my designs in my studio at home.  So far I have got; a print table, an exposure unit, screens, squeegees, a coating trough, dyes and auxiliaries.  There are a couple more items to purchase and then hopefully I'll be away!

  3. Hi Lauren. Well my Dad extended an old dining table by fixing an extra piece of plywood on the top of it. The table was 4ft long and now it's 7ft x 4ft. I've covered it in bump interlining followed by special black rubber stuff bought through a screen printing specialist and finally I'll put a layer of calico over that. How are you exposing your screens?

  6. Chris - The initial outlay seems to be going on and on and yes it is costly.

Bev - You are very lucky to have the print club just down the road so get yourself their missus! I am pretty sure I will be going this Monday to expose my screens. I still have a piece of glass to buy before I can use my own unit and I haven't got time to wait for that if I'm to stand any chance of getting something into the Bradford competition this year.
